Honestly, I did not expect a boot as excellently manufactured as this Clarks Men's Clarkdale Gobi Chelsea Boot. It surprised me how sturdily it was constructed. It was a very pleasant discovery. Each aspect of the design and construction was a pleasant surprise.I've had problems with casual shoes made of suede. The dye from my jeans transfers to the suede causing a discoloration in the outline of the jean's hem. However, this did not happen with the CLARK boot...very surprisingly. So, I have to commend the manufacturer for the choice of the suede.However, the choice of the material utilized for the sole is another matter.Although the boots are extremely comfortable, the consistency of the crepe rubber actually draws dirt. It's so noticeable that I've started to wash the soles of the shoes after each wear. EVERYTHING sticks to the bottom of the boot. The material that is being used on the CLARK BUSHACRE offering would have been preferable in my opinion.Nonetheless, the other aspects of the boot are so positive that I really don't mind the drawbacks presented by the sole's consistency.I would still have to consider the Clarks Men's Clarkdale Gobi Chelsea Boot a spectacular purchase!
