Fits over severe hammer toes for my Father in Law, only thing he can wear!Could be a tiny bit wider because my feet swell more when standing, otherwise very comfortable. My grandfather has all sorts of problems with diabetes and arthritis. These shoes are perfect for diabetics and they are easy to put on and take off. They have been a great buy for my grandfather and super comfortable. He spends all day with them with very low to no risk of falls. My husband's feet were extremely swollen and he was having trouble with slipping on wood floors with other shoes if he could even get them on. These shoes were truly a godsend. So easy to get on and durable. Also very good traction on all surfaces. The toes are open, and since he has some issues with his toes as well as the swelling, that feature is exactly what we needed. I can't say enough good things about them. So glad we found them.Unfortunately, I can't use these, as they are far too big for my 10.5-size feet. i bought the 11 because they recommended to size up, but my son can wear these, and he has size 14 feet. That said, the actual shoe seems well made and consistent with the description.I am a size 9.5-10 Women's (ordered a size 8 in this men's shoe and it fits just right!)I am a 40-something woman who recently had foot surgery and cannot push my sore toes into a regular shoe, no matter how much I loosen it. I needed something that opened up and closed over my foot. It's surprisingly hard to find a shoe with open toes and heel support that you don't need to "slide" into. These open completely and can be tightened or loosened quite a bit. Here are some pros & cons:CONS:- The price! Holy moly! 50 bucks for what is basically a slipper.- The support & cushioning. There isn't much. The rubber sole is what I would call a "medium" thickness. Not as thin as a slipper, but not really supportive. There is also very little cushioning inside. For me, they hurt more when I walk on a hard surface floor than on carpet.- Not really attractive. Especially for a lady like me, but hey. It's a men's shoe, after all. Comfort is more important right now. :)PROS:- Open toe! I love that the toe is open. My toe is screaming with pain after surgery and cramming it into a regular shoe is just not possible yet. I needed something between the surgery boot and my normal shoe. This works great!- Top opens completely so I can slip my foot into it with no pressure. I can fold the velcro over as tight or loose as I want it to be!- The velcro is good and sturdy. It's almost too hard to pull open for me!- My prescribed shoe inserts fit perfectly inside this shoe.I highly recommend this shoe if you have foot pain and need something easy to slip into and open-toed. It's a great "transition" shoe after surgery. Just wish it was cheaper!I really like it a lot. They are very confortable and light weight. My feet are swollen due to edema. These slippers do not go wide enough to fit my feet.
